Coach Sam Lilly

Coach Sam Lilly graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology 1988 with a bachelors degree in Business Management. Since then:

  • A 4 year letterman as a defensive back
  • Drafted in the 8th round by the National Football League
  • Played 5 season with the Giants, Eagles, Chargers and Rams
  • Taught Business Education in the public schools for 13 years
  • As head coach, won State Championships in basketball in both Georgia and South Carolina
  • Earned masters degree in Instructional Technology from Troy State University 2001
  • Currently in upper management with Chick-fil-a and lives in Columbia County with his wife Dana and has two daughters and one step-son
  • Recently founded Sports Academy South which provides intensive, group and individual, sports-specific training to area athletes
