HEAD COACH JOHN GORDON

Coach John Gordon graduated from Fort Valley State University in 1996 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. Coach Gordon is a widower father of a teenage son and younger daughter, and currently resides in Richmond County, GA. Coach Gordon, the son of a 29-year Army Officer veteran, moved around much of his childhood, but graduated from Alfred Ely Beach High School in Savannah, GA where he played 3 years of varsity basketball. Coach Gordon and his children have been in the CSRA for nearly one year, and previously resided in Warner Robins, GA. Background info:

Worked in Pre-litigation department for General Electric for 9.5 years.

Currently serves as Director of Basketball Operations for Sports Academy South, coach of the Georgia Stars travel exposure team for elite 7th grade basketball players, and personal basketball trainer.

Has coached recreational and travel basketball since 1994. As head coach, won a Youth Basketball Organization of America (YBOA) State Championship in Georgia, a YBOA National Championship, and numerous AAU Super Regional Tournaments.
